Christine W. Murphy
Romance, Suspense, and Science Fiction
I was born and raised in small town in Minnesota and graduated from a Lutheran college 20 miles away, before I ran away and joined the U.S. Navy. I served in Newport, RI; Key West, FL; Keflavic, Iceland; and Norfolk, Virginia.
After leaving the service, I married a fellow officer and, after a brief stay in Sicily and Florida, moved to Connecticut, where we’ve lived since 1979. As a writer I was influenced by what I read as a child. My family had a copy of the Great Books of the Western World, which made me feel like I had the world at my finger tips. But I must confess, my favorite authors were Azimov and Ian Flemming.
My love for science fiction and spy novels are evident in my published books. I add romance to fix what was missing in those books I read so long ago.
My books are available in Trade Paperback and electronic formats, including Amazon.com’s Kindle editions.
- At Your Command (paranormal romantic comedy)
- For the Emperor (SF romance)
- Cast in Steel, Carved in Stone (SF romance, a prequel to For the Emperor)
- Highlord of Darkness (SF/Fantasy)
- The Highlord’s Women (Book 2 in the Highlord of Darkness Series ) (SF/Fantasy)
- The Highlord’s Daughter (Book 3 in the Highlord of Darkness Series ) (SF/Fantasy)
- Through Iowa Glass (romantic suspense)
- Blood on Skates (romantic suspense)

Nice titles, Will check it out on Amazon and there’s a possibility of purchasing these book titles later on.
Thanks for checking my web page.
Hi Christine,
I was wondering if you could help me. I am currently updating all of my eBook files onto my eReader, (I’m over 7500 books so far) and I have recently received some book plates and other stuff from other authors who kindly signed them for me. Do you do anything like this?? I have a number of autographs from different authors and would love to add yours to my collection. I know that due to the fact that I have an eReader instead of a paper book (and I live in the UK) it is hard for me to get a signed copy of your books, but I would appreciate it if you could consider my request.
Many thanks for taking the time to read my email and for hopefully thinking through my request.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Tracey
Sorry, Tracey, I don’t have anything like that. Everything my publisher does is e-files now, and when my old publisher did paper copies, I didn’t have access to them.
I’ve been reading electronically since 1999 when I got my first e-reader, a Rocket. Funny how everyone acts like they are a new thing when they’ve been around for so long.
Thanks for the note.
